A reminder to anyone who has been too busy over the “summer” to monitor every announcement: Surrey Waste Management’s planning application for Trumps Farm was submitted in July 2008 and the official date for last receipt of objections is Tuesday 30 September. The planning application papers are not on the Surrey County Council website but can be seen at the Runnymede Council offices in Addlestone.
The application references are SCC REF 2008/0093/SJ and RU08/0673. Summary details are on the SCC website and you can comment on-line if you wish to do so. Email messages must include the sender’s postal address. Objectors do not have to live in Surrey.
According to the SCC website, the planning application will be determined on 14 January 2009. If you cannot meet the 30 September deadline, write anyway. In practice, letters and emails received after the deadline will be considered though it is best not to rely on this.
The Capel incinerator
The Capel incinerator has not yet come before the SCC Planning and Regulatory Committee for determination. A decision was originally expected in July but Capel was taken off the Committee’s agenda. It failed to appear on the agenda for 17 September so the earliest it will be considered is October. No explanation given for the delay. Local campaigners suspect SCC’s consultants have been asked to come up with answers to some of the more challenging objections.
