Restormel Borough Council has set a date for their single item planning meeting to review the proposed incinerator application and make a decision. This meeting will be held on Tuesday 22nd July 2008 from 6PM at Restormel Borough Council Offices, St. Austell. The St Dennis Incinerator Group (STIG) intend to hire coaches to take those who wish to attend to the meeting.
If you are interested in using the coach, or if you are willing to car share, please contact STIG. Coaches will be leaving St .Dennis Working Mens’ Club car park at 4:30PM. For those who will be using their own transport please try to arrive at the Restormel Offices for 5PM to ensure a place within what is expected to be a very full meeting room.
Members of the public will be given an opportunity to speak at the meeting and for this meeting the time allowed for each speaker has been extended to a strict 10 minutes. However, if you wish to speak at the meeting you will have to write to Restormel Council at least five days before the meeting in order to register your request to speak. Those who prefer not to speak at the meeting can put their objections in writing and this will be read out at the meeting. This is a very important meeting and local campaigners are urging residents to make every effort to attend.
