Notes: Planning permission WSCC/062/16/NH allowed on appeal in Februay 2020 with 28 planning conditions, including an R1 condition (PINS Ref APP/P3800/W/18/3218965). Initial planning application withdrawn (with stated intention to re-submit) in July 2017 after planning officer recommended refusal [Source]. Second planning application submitted in March 2018 (ref: WSCC/015/18/NH and refused planning permission in June 2018 [Source]. Environmental Permit Consultation closed on 2nd August 2021 [See consultation]. Later in August the Environment Agency issued a Schedule 5 notice asking for further information about noise, site condition, waste input and effluent discharge. Permit issued in November 2022. ENDS reported in December 2024 that this project had yet to reach financial close [Source]. In August 2024 it was reported by ENDS that developers were targetting financial close in the first half of 2025, but as of 9th December 2025 financial close had yet to be announced [Source].
