Notes: Planning permission granted in April 2017 for "an advanced thermal treatment process that will thermally treat refuse derived fuel (RDF) using gasification technology". As of mid-March 2024 it appears that no permit has been obtained for this facility and that construction had yet to commence. In April 2024 SEPA informed UKWIN that there is "...currently an active PPC Part A permit at this site (Ref no. PPC/A/1150156) that allows incineration of prescribed materials. The operator submitted an application to vary the permit on 14/12/2023. The application is in the process of being determined and when complete, SEPA will decide whether a to issue a variation to the permit". See public register for permit documents.
