Notes: Planning application approved by Redcar & Cleveland for Waste-to-rDME (Dimethyl Ether) plant in June 2023 (R/2023/0080/ESM). According to the planning statement: "The plant is designed to process approximately 250,000 – 300,000 tonnes per annum of RDF fuels to undergo an advanced thermal treatment process, namely gasification, from which the resultant syngas will be scrubbed, CO2 stripped, compressed, and chemically converted to form the organic compound Dimethyl Ether...or DME...The primary use for the products produced by the plant will be as a direct replacement for fossil fuels (LPG, Propane, Butane etc) that are currently sold into the commercial and residential consumer markets". It was published in The Gazette (the official Public Record) in February 2025 that KEW Projects Limited and KEW Technology Limited had appointed liquidators [Source, Source, Source, Source] (Entry updated 2025-03-05)

Capacity is usually the permitted or maximum advertised capacity of the facility.
