Notes: Planning application submitted in July 2019 and approved in June 2022 for a 600,000 waste to fuel plant (DM/0664/19/FUL). According to the Planning statement, approx 600ktpa is shredded and dried on-site to produce c. 375ktpa of SRF for the "steam reforming gasification" process. The Planning Statement also notes that the Fischer Tropsch process is intended to be used to convert the syngas into Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (SPK) and Naphtha to be turned into transport fuels. In December 2022 this project £27m from the Advanced Fuels Fund (AFF) and that the plant was expected to produce "produce 37.4kt/y of SAF when at full operational capacity" [Source, Source]. It was reported in April 2022 that Velocys "had completed site engineering, a geotechnical survey, and the integration of carbon sequestration of biogenic CO2" [Source]. (Entry updated 2023-01-16)
