Notes: Planning application submitted in October 2018 (DM/2018/01641) to modify an existing permission for a waste wood gasification plant. In December 2018 the Planning Committee determination of the application was deferred pending further information from the applicant. In February 2021 local residents were informed that if the applicant's plans to build a solar farm on the site secured planning permission then the applicant would abandon their incinerator proposal. Uncertainties have arisen regarding the future of this proposal due to the Welsh Government's announcement in March 2021 that there would be an immediate moratorum on new incinerators of 10MW and more and that: "The moratorium will also mean small-scale plants, of less than 10MW, will only be allowed if applicants can show there is a need for such facilities in the regions in which they are planned. Small plants would also need to supply heat, and - where possible - be carbon-capture and storage enabled, or ready" [Source].
