Notes: Granted planning permission in October 2011 (Application reference: 11/00615/CM) for a 25 MWe Gasification plant to gasify materials including processed waste wood and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) produced onsite from commercial, industrial and municipal sources [Source]. It was reported in November 2015 that financial close had been reached and that construction would begin in January 2016 with the facility to be operational by 2018 [Source]. Spencer failed to win the Hull & East Riding PFI contract [Source]. Allocated Round One Contracts for Difference funding in February 2015 [Source]. Environmental permit granted in January 2016 [EPR/NP3837NV]. It was reported that hot commissioning began in April 2018 [Source]. It is understood that the plant has yet to come out of commissioning as of 4th August 2021. In August 2024 it was reported that Evero had 'mothballed' this gasification facility, i.e. put it in an "extended non-operational maintenance period" [Source, Source]. (Entry updated 2024-09-19)
