Notes: Planning permission granted by Devon County Council in March 2010 (DCC/2909/2009) and varied in November 2019 (DCC/4150/2019). Permit application consultation announced in December 2020, which states that the plant would "process commercial and industrial waste in the form of RDF through gasification" (EPR/EP3105BJ/A001). The permit was issued in July 2021. In May 2022 it was reported that money had been set aside to provide heat from a "forthcoming plant" in East Devon which Letsrecycle understood to be the Hill Barton plant. [Source]. In May 2024 the Environment Agency listed the facility status as "construction not started".
