The Public Inquiry into the proposed expansion of the existing Eastcroft incinerator, to create 100,000 tonnes per annum additional capacity for non-hazardous waste, will be held at The Hilton Hotel, 38 Milton Street, Nottingham, NG1 2PZ, starting on Tuesday 9th September 2008 at 9am.
An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State under paragraph 1(1) of schedule 6 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 will decide on the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) appeal over Nottingham City Council’s decision to reject the expansion.
Members of Nottingham Against Incineration and Landfill (NAIL) are taking statements from residents, and preparing their submission for the forthcoming inquiry.
Copies of the appeal statements, proofs of evidence, summaries and statement of common ground can be viewed in the Planning Services reception at 2nd Floor, Exchange Buildings North, Smithy Row, Nottingham, NG1 2BS between 8:30 AM and 5 PM Monday to Friday.
Interested parties may attend the inquiry and, at the Inspector’s discretion, express their views providing they have arrived when the inquiry opens.
