The Secretary of State has unfortunately allowed the appeal by troubled waste firm Biffa in relation to the 300,000 tonne incinerator at Newhurst Quarry, Shepshed in Leicestershire.This decision to grant planning permission overrides the two refusals of permission made by Leicestershire County Council.
