Support GAIA’s call for the European Commission to prevent new incinerators in Europe. The text reads: “As European citizens we ask the European Commission to limit the construction of new incinerators. Incineration competes with recycling, and evidence shows that many EU countries already have more incineration capacity than waste to burn. Instead we ask you to take measures to change incentives in order to reduce, redesign, reuse and recycle waste as close as possible to where it has been generated. If Europe is to achieve the Resource Efficiency goals by 2020, no new incinerators should be built.”

Joining the UK’s biggest anti-incineration network can give your campaign a real boost and strengthen the network. Group Membership confers full voting rights Individual Membership confers access to all the benefits of UKWIN, but does not carry any voting rights.
Our strength comes through our supporters and member groups, also grants from a charitable trust this year and last. We are proud of achievements so far, giving help to numerous campaigning groups, building our website as a mine of information, and serving as a contact point for media and campaign contacts.
To remain active and independent, we need to build up funding from supporters, with both regular and occasional donations. Will you help us?
