Danny Foulstone of Coventry FoE and CRACIN has informed us of the a short video Coalition for Recycling and Against Coventry Incinerator (CRACIN) have produced, about the issues surrounding the proposed incinerator in Coventry.

Keith Kondakor said:

“We believe the council has been incredibly short-sighted in its long-term recycling aim of 50 per cent by 2020 and we will continue working hard to increase recycling in the area.”

Cllr Dave Nellist (Socialist, St Michaels) said:

“PFIs are a more expensive way of raising funds and an undemocratic way of running public services.

“I disagree fundamentally with PFIs.

“I think it’s the wrong way to go environmentally, financially and democratically.”
